Our Purpose

The Islington and Newington Green Unitarians are committed to being an inclusive, open-minded, spiritual community that includes and balances three essential elements:

• A supportive and loving community

What we Do

A wide variety of events, programmes, and activities enable us to pursue our purpose as a community:

• Sunday morning services form an important part of this work. 
  
  
• A wide variety of programmes and events offer opportunities for education, practice, fellowship and support
  
  
• We working to create a new family service to be held one Sunday each month beginning at 9:00 AM. This service is meant to be engaging for both children and adults. If you are interested in this service and would like to comment or enquire, we would love to hear from you. Please contact out minister, Rev. Andy.
  
  
• Rites of Passage, including wedding and civil partnership blessings, child dedications, funerals, memorial services. divorce services, retirement services, and more to mark the major transitions of our lives.
  
  
• Pastoral Counseling to help each person find their way and navigate life's trials (contact our minister, Rev. Andy)
  
  
• We are currently enrolling participants for Engagement Groups, a small group programme of participants committed to mutual support, spiritual exploration,
  

History

The Newington Green and Islington Unitarians are historically separate congregations with independent histories.

The Newington Green Unitarian Church in particular has a rich and colourful history, full of radical progressive figures.
