Special Opportunity for Children aged 5-9
The Three Facets introduction to Unitarianism course has been very popular with new adult attendees and we are now opening up this opportunity to explore what Unitarianism is to our younger members aged between 5 and 9.
Running for three weeks from June 9th, during the Sunday service, this small group course introduces and offers a guide to New Unity as a spiritual community. In a connected and open atmosphere, we will use games, stories and activities to learn about and explore the three essential facets of New Unity. These are, community, justice, and the individual spiritual path. In the first week we will look at what a community is and why people gravitate towards belonging to one. The second week will be looking at fairness and standing up for what you believe. The final week will be focussing on each person and what makes them an individual. Looking at what a person needs other than the bare essentials. Participants are expected to attend all three sessions (run on consecutive weeks).
It is not compulsory to register your attendance but it would be helpful to know who to expect._________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
 A-Z of Spiritual Practice for Children - New Weekly Series
Starting on Thursday 23rd May, this is a new weekly series of how to explore spiritual practice with your child.
By spirituality we do not mean anything aligned to a specific religion but values and practices that cross religious and cultural barriers. Each edition will include an introduction to the spiritual practice, why it is beneficial and advice, exercises or discussion points for you to explore it with your child. As it is not aligned with any religion it is simple for you to adapt to your specific needs and personal beliefs if you so wish.
