Fun and Community

Programmes, activities, and events provide essential opportunities for spiritual growth and exploration. They also offer opportunities for connection, for education, and simply for having fun together.

It is in small groups that we have the opportunity to interact with one another in ways that allow us to recognise and examine our own assumptions and perspectives in the light of the diverse views around us.

Unless otherwise indicated, everyone is welcome at all events, activities, and programmes - most of these events are run free of charge (or for a small donation), but do click through to the event's own page for further details. Please confirm the event before travelling!

Weekly Programmes

Bright Lights
Bright Lights is our activity for children. Taking place each week at the same time as our regular Sunday services at Newington Green at 11:00am, Bright Lights provides a time for families to be part of the life of New Unity with activities - arts & crafts projects, stories, music and movement - that speak to children. Children begin their time in the service. After a 'Time for All Ages' introduces the theme of the day, children and accompanying adults leave together for Bright Lights. Newington Green

Navadina means 'new day' in Sanskrit, and Navadina is a new singing group for the larger community. Meeting every Thursday evening 7:30-9:00 pm at Unity, Navadina provides a place for every voice to join together to make music together. Navadina sings music that is eclectic and provocative. This member-supported singing group is looking for your voice!

Bi-Monthly Programmes

Engagement Groups
An Engagement Group is a group of 8-12 people who agree to meet two times each month in self-led sessions. Engagement groups provide a means to find closeness in the context of a larger community and offer much more - they create safe spaces in which we can share our journeys together and offer support to one another.

Monthly Programmes

On the first Sunday of each month the congregation comes together following the Sunday service at Newington Green church to share a pot luck lunch. This provides an opportunity for us to share good food and be together in a spirit of community. All are welcome, and if you can bring a dish that is even better!

Elder's Group
Meeting at Unity on the third Tuesday of each month. The purpose of this group will be to discuss the particular needs and interests of elders within the New Unity community, to enjoy fellowship and to explore ways that New Unity could better meet the needs of people who fall within this particular age range. Lunch will be provided.
