The New Atheism and the War on Terror

Terry Eagleton is the 2010 Richard Price Memorial Lecturer. He will speak on The New Atheism and the War on Terror.
Eagleton is a British literary theorist widely regarded as Britain's most influential living literary critic. Eagleton currently serves as Distinguished Professor of English Literature at the University of Lancaster, and as a Visiting Professor at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Formerly Eagleton was Thomas Warton Professor of English Literature at the University of Oxford (1992-2001) and John Edward Taylor Professor of English Literature at the University of Manchester until 2008. In the Fall 2009 semester, Dr Eagleton will return to The University of Notre Dame as a Distinguished Visitor in the Department of English.

Eagleton has written more than forty books including his 2010 Reason, Faith, and Revolution: Reflections on the God Debate.
