Meditation

A meditation meeting without gurus and gods; doctrines and dogmas. We discuss issues and experiences arising following two twenty minute silent meditation session. We also have themed presentation or a guided meditation usually on the first Tuesday of the month.

The Tuesday meditation meeting is a weekly meeting of people meditating together. We find this experience fulfilling, supportive and reaffirming. Many find this enhances their practice outside.

Doors open at 7pm every Tuesday. Mobile phones are turned off and people settle down. At 7.15 a 20 minute meditation starts, then there is a short silent 5 minute break followed by another 20 minute meditation.

Rhythms of Life: Community Cafe

We're very excited to announce that we will be hosting a community cafe for the homeless at Newington Green. Powered by the incredible people at Rhythms of Life, we have confirmed a provisional launch date of Tuesday 14 June and every Tuesday thereafter with a view to opening the cafe for more days in the future. Special thanks to Nina Rathbone Pullen, Marta Pacini, Colin Robertson and David Bidwell for volunteering their time to champion this connection on behalf of NU.

We hope to see you there for the launch either as an additional hand/helper or just to meet and greet!
