Welcoming

The Islington and Newington Green Unitarians extend a warm welcome to all people, regardless of sexual orientation. People of diverse sexual orientations are active in our congregation and, in fact, hold important leadership roles.

Unitarianism rejects the dogmatic rigidity that has led so many faiths to take anti-LGBT positions. The British Unitarian movement includes a substantial number of gay and lesbian ministers. In the US, transgender people are also now found among the ordained Unitarian ministry.

If you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender and are looking for a community of faith that will accept you fully as you are - a community that sees your sexual orientation as normal, come visit us. This could be your spiritual home.
