A series of six mindful body-and-breath workshops, inspired by yoga and built around our Sunday Gathering themes. Guiding you through tailored movement and stretches, these sessions will help you to create some nourishing physical and mental space for yourself.
The sessions are led by New Unity member Charlie George, a qualified Hatha yoga teacher and dance artist.
This week, our theme is: 'labels: too much or not enough. How we can describe and manage our precious energy. How we can tune into a more accurate and compassionate approach to working with what we've got and what we're working towards.
Cost: £5 suggested donation. Please feel free to give less if you can’t afford it and more if you'd like to additionally support this project.
What to bring: A yoga/exercise mat if you have one. Spares are available.
What to wear: Loose-fitting clothing you feel comfortable moving in and something warm to put on at the end.
Do I have to be flexible/fit? No! These sessions are for everyone, regardless of age or fitness. It's all about working within your individual comfort level.
Can I come if I have an impairment/disability? Yes! Please chat directly to Charlie about how she can support you to participate safely and work from wherever you are towards where you want to be.
Do I need to commit to all six sessions? The sessions are designed to be self-contained, so you don’t need to attend the full course. But attending multiple sessions will help you to get more out of the experience.
