Children’s Programme Co-Leader

ABOUT NEW UNITY
New Unity is a new thing: a non-religious congregation committed to building love and justice in individuals, community, and the larger world. Our radically-inclusive community works toward these aims through programs, groups, events, our migrant centre and community organising.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMME CO-LEADER
The Co-Leader is responsible for leading, coordinating, and creating programmes and events for community-building and development of confidence. compassion, and independent thinking for ages 7-12.

POSITION
The Co-Leader works in collaboration with the other Co-Leader in broader aspects of New Unity programmes for children and youth
The role is 6 hours per week and, apart from 2 hrs each Sunday morning, location and schedule are flexible. Pay is £12 per hour.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
We are looking for a proactive, creative, team player, with great organisational and communication skills, who takes initiative, and has proven expertise in:

- Education of children and young people
- Child development and age-appropriate programming
- Story telling
- Events for children and young people
- A commitment to environmental and social issues and a 
passion to teach possible solutions to future generations
