‘Serving with Grace’

Based on the book by the Rev Erik Wikstrom, we'll look at leadership and service within a congregation as spiritual practice rather than an obligation. We often think of church volunteer work as a ‘necessary evil,’ which can lead us to feel guilty if we don't sign up or resentful if we do. Wikstrom’s transformative vision frames our decision to serve (or not serve) as a growth opportunity that allows us to live our values and can nurture personal development through self-awareness, compassion, and collaboration.

Children will join in the sanctuary and leave for their programme after the first hymn.
