'Believe in Good?' Reading Group

  • New Unity @ Mary Wollstonecraft Room 39A Newington Green London, England, N16 9PR United Kingdom (map)

We stand in the eye of an historical moment looking the storm full in the face, torn between hot-blooded sensations of great hope and even despair.

What is going on in the world and how did we get here?
How can we imagine futures free of the violence and oppression of the ultra-right?
Are humans really just inherently doomed to destroy everything in the name of power?
Where is the resistance out there and in here?
What does it really mean to believe in good?

Join us in exploring the big questions and the small, everyone is welcome, this will not be an academic-only space and we encourage all text suggestions from the group from sci-fi-fantasy to historical fiction and radical feminist manifestos and all the wonderful, troubling, inciting literature that lies between.

Begins with a shared vegetarian meal. Please bring something to share if you can.
