As part of the new programme of activities at the Newington Green Meeting House: Revolutionary Ideas Since 1708 project, we’re launching a “Radical Readers” group. This group will meet and discuss a book related to the history and the people of the Newington Green Meeting House.

This month’s book is “In Search of Mary” by Bee Rowlatt. Come and discuss the themes of the book, including experiences of motherhood, ranging views on feminism, travelling the world, mental health, and more. The book also offers a chance to learn more about Mary Wollstonecraft.

We have five copies of each book to lend if anyone cannot access their own copy. Please email Amy for more information.

The book group is open to everyone and there is no obligation to attend all dates. You can just come for the books you might be interested in! Light refreshments provided, and the space is fully accessible. Let us know if you can make it!

Future dates:

10th December, 7pm to 8.30pm: “Liberty's Apostle” by Paul Frame, a biography of Richard Price
