New Unity’s trustees are elected by the congregation to help oversee New Unity's finance, policy, staff, buildings, and long-term strategy.

I am incredibly grateful for the support and inspiration that I have found here at New Unity since moving to Hackney in 2022.  I hope that I may use my background in technology and leadership to be of service to our community. I am particularly passionate about diversity, tolerance, and social justice.

I discovered New Unity after moving to London 8 years ago, and it has been a huge part of my life ever since!

My passions are theatre/drama, children and climate justice, and, as a Trustee, I’ll be taking a lead on sustainability.

In my pre-retirement days, I worked largely with children, as social worker, teacher and school counsellor. I was instrumental in setting up and running two third sector counselling services for children, and also acted as supervisor and trainer. I also helped to set up, and as a Trustee, to run Action for Sustainable Living, a Manchester based charity; many of our projects are still going strong.

I love the New Unity community, and hope to encourage its members to get more involved in creating a sustainable future for us all.

I initially came to London back in 1996 when I studied Business Economics & Finance, and also did a Postgrad in Economics. I went back to Greece for my army service and worked at the family firm (Timber Merchants) and got another bachelor in Graphic Design. But that is another life.

I returned to London in late 2017 seeking essentially to find myself, and while being on this artistic journey I found New Unity. I was accepted, nourished, and supported, and my wish is to help provide the same extension of grace to everyone who wants to have it.
