New River walk: outing

Two congregants - Peter and Bérénice - have organised an outing for congregants, their families and friends: a short walk along the New River after the Sunday gathering.

It will provide an opportunity for people to socialise while enjoying some fresh air, birdsong, and (hopefully) some sunshine.

The group will leave the Newington Green Meeting House at 12.30pm and take the bus up Green Lanes as far as the Castle Climbing Centre (Oyster, contactless or Freedom Pass required). They will then walk along New River for half an hour to the Coal House cafe in Woodberry Wetlands. They’ll then return the same way.

Walking surface: tar or gravel, no mud

Benches: several

Refreshments: soup, coffee and multiple different dishes available at Coal House cafe

All are very welcome!

Ending time is approximate.
