What Does It Mean to Be ‘Other’?

This gathering will examine the idea of inclusivity from the perspective of the person who is ‘other,’ advocating empathy for those who are different from us and recognising that many day-to-day interactions involve social imbalances to which we may not be attuned. This leads many to feel they are never fully welcome, for reasons that are difficult to explain to those with greater privilege. Dr Mairi Blitz is a New Unity member who has spent her career in emergency departments across North & East London, proudly caring for one of the most diverse populations on earth.

Children will join in the sanctuary and leave for their programme after the first hymn.
