18th May - ‘Another World is Possible: Building Common Space for the Common Good’ - Roberta Wedge
How can we create common spaces from principles of dignity, justice, and compassion? How can we re-shape our cities to allow everyone to move around with freedom, and even with joy? Just as bike lanes ensure safety and flow by honouring everyone’s place, communities thrive when individuals respect one another’s paths. Drawing inspiration from Dutch cycling infrastructure, we will re-think the phrase “stay in your lane” as a positive metaphor for mutual respect, clear boundaries, and shared harmony. Roberta Wedge is a long-time New Unity member and an occasional visitor at other Unitarian gatherings around the UK.
