Social Action Sunday: Sunday Gathering

‘What Can You Do? Curing Injustice through Radical Compassion’

When you develop compassion as deeply as you can, it becomes your superpower— one you can use to confront injustice in everyday life in ways that will have a lasting impact on others and build up a patina of righteousness in yourself. Led by Ann Howell, the Social Action Officer of the UK Unitarians.

The gathering will be followed by a congregational values workshop where we will discern the types of social action we would like to engage in. Lunch will be served at the workshop thanks to the New Unity Social Justice Team.

Ann Howell, the Social Action Officer for the UK Unitarians, will join us to lead the Sunday gathering followed by an afternoon workshop to discuss the values and interests that should guide New Unity's social action work.

Join at 11am - either online or in person at the Newington Green Meeting House, 39a Newington Green, London, N16 9PR (fully accessible)

Attend on-site or on Zoom. Kids will join in the sanctuary and leave for their programme after the opening welcome and first hymn. Go here for more information and the Zoom link, and here for directions to the Meeting House.
