‘Sacred Solidarity’
Rev. Adam Slate - Minister
Tuesday, 27th January, is Holocaust Remembrance Day, when we remember the six million Jews and others murdered under Nazi persecution during the Second World War, as well as those killed during more recent genocides. In the climate of a dramatic increase in religion-based hate crimes–nearly tripling over the past decade–we are all called to confront what drives anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim sentiment and how best to address it. What responsibility does a religious community have to speak out against these incidents of targeted religious attacks and the ideologies that underpin them?
Children will join in the sanctuary and leave for their programme after the first hymn.
Attend either online or in person at the Newington Green Meeting House, 39a Newington Green, London, N16 9PR (fully accessible). Go here for more information and the Zoom link, and here for directions to the Meeting House.
