Sunday Gathering: The Good News of Unitarianism

‘The Good News of Unitarianism’'

Rev Adam Slate

The Christian bible is anchored by its four Gospels describing the teachings and life of Jesus of Nazareth. ‘Gospel’ means ‘good news’… Christianity and other faiths are bolstered by the good news of a loving, merciful deity. However, for those who do not believe in a Divine that orchestrates events, or who reject God-language entirely, where is the good news in Unitarianism? Does a tradition grounded in reason and respect for science in a world that is often unkind and violent leave room for good news?

Children will join in the sanctuary and leave for their programme after the first hymn.

Attend either online or in person at the Newington Green Meeting House, 39a Newington Green, London, N16 9PR (fully accessible). Go here for more information and the Zoom link, and here for directions to the Meeting House.
