‘Positive News’ - Rev. Adam Slate
Our large, complex, and often chaotic world is filled with stories—accounts of good and bad news, heroes and villains, dangers and sanctuaries. Often these roles and characterisations are fluid and poorly defined; it can be unclear whether roles and outcomes serve positive or negative purposes, and frequently they may be both. A social programme may both be expensive and offer promising results. Activism may both be disruptive and force positive change. Where we find our information and how it is fed to us affect how we receive it. What is the most faithful way to gather news from the world around us, for the sake of our community as well as our own well-being?
Children will join in the chapel and leave for their programme after the first hymn.
