Cakes for the Queen of Heaven

  • New Unity @Upper Street 277a Upper Street Islington, N1 2TZ United Kingdom (map)

"Cakes for the Queen of Heaven" is one of the oldest Unitarian Universalist courses - designed just for women who wish to learn more about the "Feminine Divine" - that is, the religious and cultural history of feminine gods. But more than a history course, "Cakes" explores our feminist roots, our attitudes about our bodies , our mothers and daughters, and our role in the world today. Judie Rinearson has taught the class before and will be leading a course here at NU.

Classes will be held in the Minister’s Study at the New Unity Upper Street Venue at 277A Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 2TZ (next to the Islington Fire Station). The course will be held over three dates in January: 14th, 21st & 26th.

If you're interested in attending, please contact Judie at judith.rinearson@bryancave.com. There is no cost to attend, and no homework! But, class members are expected to make a good faith effort to attend and to actively participate.
