Candlelight Cinema warmly invite you all to a screening of As She Is, a beautiful, inspiring, heartfelt film by Megan McFeely, in Stoke Newington on Saturday October 7th. She shares her own journey, embracing a very masculine way of being in the world, until her world fell apart and she had to let the feminine in. The film also includes includes interviews with renowned pioneer of deep ecology, Joannna Macey, among others. As She Is presents a compelling look at the undeniable truth that our very chances of happiness and human survival depend on receptive, connective, life giving feminine strengths and we are invited to view the resurgence of feminine consciousness in the context of the  environmental, humanitarian and economic catastrophes that humanity has created.

My commitment to hosting this screening is heartfelt and passionate. As a man I find myself caught between an old male dominated paradigm where I feel cornered by shoulds and oughts and a new more connected, sensitive, intuitive way of being that sets us free to say YES!!  to life on life's terms and I find that committing to this project is enabling me to make that transition. It is a REALLY exciting opportunity and my invitation to you is to participate in community in a way that promises to be innovative and liberating for us all.

Before the screening sound healer Alicia Davies will play the Earth gong which is tuned to the same frequency as our planet. This promises to be a powerful journey into the feminine in itself enabling us to receive the film's message more deeply.

There will time for us to share our responses to the film afterwards and spontaneously weave some magic.
